The green revolution in India, although it brought self-sufficiency in food production, the use of fertilizers and pesticides have done great harm to the land and the environment.
PCTC has 16 acres of land as a model farm, where organic farming is being practiced.
It is also being used for the neighbouring farmers as a place of demonstration in innovative farming practices.
Six acres of the farm land has fruit trees. The rest of the land is used to cultivate paddy, vegetables and rearing of animals.
This farm will be utilized as a training place, for adolescent people with disabilities in agriculture.
Adolescent disabled people will be trained in the farm in cultivation, as well as taking care of animals (sheep, cows, hens…)
In the longer run the farm should generate income to support the maintenance of the center.
